I have recently connected with a practice i did regularly some years ago. White Tara. Its short, probably why I chose it. Its very beautiful and peaceful. Amitayus on her crown which of course is another aspect of Amitabha. I feel it compliments the nembutsu some how. Well at the moment anyway and doesnt seem to interfere. I usually struggle with bad knees when i sit with my legs crossed these days but seem to manage with ease when i engage in this practice. All part of this wonderful path with all its snakes and ladders! • Tara is a favourite Bodhisattva of mine – although I usually meet her in her green aspect 🙂

      • That’s lovely. I have engaged in Green Tara practice in the past. 24 hour chanting a couple of times which was very special. I wanted a practice that I could do regularly and a Sangha friend introduced me to White Tara, a much shorter practice. I felt I was more likely to practice more if not so long. Strange how the practice has now returned and has a lot of power in stilling and calming my mind. Very good to know that including other practices are Ok. I feel that going to her has given me a bit of a lift. Thank you for sharing Kaspa. Namo Amida Bu
