Thank you for the online service Satya and Kaspa. Technology can be a blessing some times. I work in the care sector and cant say im not a tadge nervous. Im also worried about my cats if anything should happen. Cant help it. Strangely enough though my Meditation/Nembutsu practice has become more peaceful and deeper. Reliance and refuge is…[Read more]

    • Hi Clare – did you attend a service yet? If not hope to see you soon. Yes, that’s tough – very appropriate to have some fear. And, Amida will look after you whatever happens. Sending love from here, Namo Amida Bu x

Just watched Dharmavidya’s talk on solitude. I found it very inspiring and I felt a sense of ease and acceptance because I find myself very much alone these days. Often feeling there is something wrong with this when in fact it can be very useful for the practice. I do go out to work and that’s enough interaction for me. The things people talk…[Read more]

Had a lovely visit to the Temple last weekend. Re – took my refuge vows and received a lovely sash called a “wagessa” which I need to sow an Amida sunset symbol in chain stitch. Havn’t done that since juniors. Will face the challenge!. Came home to 3 hunger striking cats. One of which decided not to come home for ages despite me going out and…[Read more]

Have just enjoyed the teaching by Dharmavidya – Post mappo. He is always laughing which I like. It helps lighten the mood and loosen up a bit which is a lot about this teaching. Recommend. Namo Amida Bu

Looking forward to my visit to The Temple in January. Not much into xmass though. Im very much in the mind set that things should only be given to those who need it and not to those who don’t. Plus with the environmental issues I don’t see many people listening but just carrying on as usual. Have a nice time but just cut down a bit or a lot! Namo Amida Bu

I went to a lovely White Tara blessing empowerment last Saturday in Southampton. I use to engage in this practice many years ago and recently came back to me. I felt a connection with Tara as did others like a tingly fizzy feeling touching my whole body and a feeling of joy. I cant say what was going on here but I know in my heart this was far…[Read more]

Very pleased that I have completed the Pure Land course. It was a real achievement for me as never been one for study. Its clear that if we are interested in some thing that there is a lot more motivation and success. This course has been a great tool in keeping a connection with the Amida Sangha and Amida. I have learnt a lot also. A big Thank…[Read more]

It was lovely to read your post Kaspa on valuing community. Its so important for spiritual growth. I can relate with the being alone part as i find myself now. So easy to get stuck in this rut. For many others most probably too. I wonder how this happens. It wasnt the plan. Thank you Kaspa and Satya for bringing us this web site. Namo Amida Bu

I am going to be very careful in what i watch. The opening credits of a film i chose on prime video showed hideous scenes of an asian butchers. I only caught a glimpse and managed to turn away quickly, but i knew what was there. This will leave an imprint on my mind for life as many other times have and not very useful just very upsetting. When i…[Read more]

Spending a lazy Sunday with my cats after working quite hard last few days. I was going to a Buddhist celebration day in Devon today but my body just wouldn’t allow it and had to concede. Work has to be done but I do find I am more peaceful during my time off, my practice is regular and stable and no rushing from hear to there. I find the…[Read more]

That’s lovely. I have engaged in Green Tara practice in the past. 24 hour chanting a couple of times which was very special. I wanted a practice that I could do regularly and a Sangha friend introduced me to White Tara, a much shorter practice. I felt I was more likely to practice more if not so long. Strange how the practice has now returned and…[Read more]

I have recently connected with a practice i did regularly some years ago. White Tara. Its short, probably why I chose it. Its very beautiful and peaceful. Amitayus on her crown which of course is another aspect of Amitabha. I feel it compliments the nembutsu some how. Well at the moment anyway and doesnt seem to interfere. I usually struggle with…[Read more]
