Reading Dharmavidya’s book the feeling Buddha. Very interesting and a different take on a lot of books ive read over the years. And makes a lot of sense about things I never questioned and is quite logical really. Anyway, highly recommend if you havnt yet. Namo Amida Bu

    • This was the book that introduced me to Dharmavidya, when he went to Wigan to give a talk on it in 1998. It does chime with reality as one experiences it – practical rather that just theoretical. And uplifting, encouraging. I reread frequently.

Really enjoyed reading your book ‘coming home’ Satya. Would like to read more of your writing. Any suggestion on which I should read next? Namo Amida Bu

Having lived through addiction myself life now is experienced in its raw form. Facing reality. Not easy at all. But safer and simpler. I picked up on Amida’s light all those years ago and never looked back. Miracles do happen!

    • Namo Amida Bu. I find that people who’ve experienced addiction in extreme forms are much more likely to receive Amida’s light (or the light of the divine through a different lens). Here’s to sobriety – the painfulness of it, and the joys! And here’s to miracles.

    • What do you mean by different for past addicts. And why do you think that is, if you donโ€™t mind me asking.

Just checked in on you tube for the talk ‘nothing to lose’. I found it very helpful and felt connected. Hope there will be more. With gratitude!

Each night i read a chapter or two of your latest book Satya. Its a very good read. Lots of things I and many of us can relate to, is honest and witty. I love the idea of small nembutsu stones. Heres one that came to me as I was enjoying my first cup of tea in silence this morning –

The sound of the wood pidgeon catches my ear
    Joyfully… I came…[Read more]

Hello everyone. Always nice to drop in on here and read the posts from the Sangha. Is quite a comfort. My practice seems distant and week at the moment. Its not the first time and wont be the last. Makes me feel fortunate just to know that much. My word for the new year was Patience and will try and focus back on that and see what happens next.…[Read more]

A friend who helps print the books for the Buddha educational foundation in Taiwan sent them over. They send them out for free. Theres something more personal about them rather than just relying on the internet and you tube. Although also very useful. Namo Amida Bu

Having to drive on many dark country roads now since moving. Have to use full beam when ever possible. Can be quite daunting. Use to be ok with it but now older not so sure. I take my chanting machine along with me now and chant Along with Amitabha’s name or rather Amitaufo as it’s in Chinese. Helps me remain calm and focused all the way home.…[Read more]

Hello all. Had a lovely drive along the coast road to Bridport this morning. Attended a meditation group where the focus is mindfulness of breathing and metta. Always so powerful in a group. Concentration was quite good and light and found that Amida and his light was naturally there all the way through. He is the breathing, he is the metta! Namo Amida Bu

I have been having a few interesting, auspicious dreams of late. One was at the Temple with Satya and Kaspa and others who must of represented the Sangha i think. Another was of a Theravadin monk who told me he could see Amitabha. These kind of dreams feel very virtuous and i felt very blessed. Namo Amida Bu

I have noticed lately that i am not so reactive in some situations. I could be
quite impatient when dropping things or when stuck in traffice etc. Am now responding more calmly. May this continue and expand. So the word i have chosen is – Patience! Namo Amida Bu
