I very much enjoy reading the pure land texts of the Chinese masters and one I very much recommend is zen pure land-pure land zen .

you should be able to get this and a number of free pureland books by visiting http://www.budaei.org.tw

i can pick up a copy from the Amida Society temple here in Los Angeles and would be happy to send a copy to any folks who may enjoy reading it. There is a pdf available online .

Thanks Avihinsa. Great that you have found something you connect with. Personally I don’t tend to recommend the Chinese teachings to those just starting to study Amida Shu Buddhism, as they can appear so different from the Japanese way of thinking about Amida etc.

But anything that supports us to connect with the Buddha is worthwhile 🙂
