    Budda Day

Yesterday, we were very lucky to take part in the Buddha Day celebrations in the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery. The event has been running for the last 14 years and involves Buddhist groups from all over Birmingham.

After offerings of flowers, each group came to the Sultanganj Buddha and shared an element of practice in their tradition. The Birmingham Sangha demonstrated nembutsu chanting to the sounds of the mokugyo. Afterwards, we were greeted by members of the congregation and were offered refreshments by the museum staff.

Thank you to all those that came to take part.
